Written in 2013, this is a story of liberal Democrats gaining control of the House, Senate, and the presidency in 2014. This scenario did not happen, but a similar scenario has begun with the 2018-midterm elections. Should liberal Democrats gain control in 2020 this story may still happen.
Democrats won control of the House and Senate in 2014 and passed sweeping gun control legislation. Constitutionalists and gun owners rallied to defend their Second and Fourth Amendment rights. States began to defy the federal government and clashes occur. The military had to chose between obeying the Commander in Chief’s orders or supporting their oath to defend the Constitution against domestic and foreign enemies. Resistance begins in various locations and then spreads across the nation. Patriots rally to take back America.
Storm clouds of a similar future are gathering on the horizon. Let us hope this story remains fiction.

First, as the author freely admits, this is truly over the top but it sure gets its point across. I have recently return back to the states after being overseas for 38+ years and all I can say is, "What happened to America? Where did it go?" He hits all the points that make me ask this question from political correctness to gun control to crooked Teflon-coated politicians that never go away. The book reads well and I literal burned through it in one day. It sort of has a happy ending but I believe like most folks that unless we have major changes in domestic and foreign policy immediately, via this next election, that our America will no longer exist and it won't be coming back. Ever. Treat yourself to an excellent read and if nothing else if makes one feel better knowing that there are others that see the situation the same as you.Product details

Anyone interested in the current state of our country should read this book. The names have been changed to protect the guilty but there is no doubt who Lee is writing about.

One of the best books I have read. single spaced...long read...yea!
Some of the not so thinly veiled political characters (socialists) preform much as I expect they would. Other, real Americans, preform as I could only pray they might...if the need arises.
Those of the progressive-liberal bend, may find this a challenging read. (it contains logic!)
This is simply one of the best books detailing the problems we face today. Rarely do I give 5 stars but in this case it is fully warranted. The story was real and relevant. It flowed seamlessly. It is a very real look at where we are and where we are most likely headed. Kudos to the Mr Boyland.
In his novels, Boyland has this great knack for putting things in proper perspective while telling the truth about current events. He does it through satire, better than anyone. It's always fun to see what fictitious names he's going to give the characters who stand in for present day political/celebrity headliners. So read on and enjoy as Boyland winds his engaging stories around today's happenings, highlighting the PC nonsense and damaging politics Americans are forced to tolerate.
Very interesting read. Supposed to be satire, but scary vs. funny. I liked the ending a lot. Only beef I have is there could have been better proof reading, but I still enjoyed the book a lot. Ironic, this evening Abomba, errrr, Obama will shred the Constitution yet again. Real life is scary also o0 Funny how Obama's announcement tonight is timed with the Ferguson MO happenings. Hmmmmm?

I bought this on Friday and started at about 5pm. I couldn't put it down and finished it around 1am. Yes, the book is a bit over the top, but as Mr. Boyland said, that was the intent. I do recommend reading it. While his scenario is unlikely, (I HOPE!), it is an interesting one.
Be advised, he does leave this book on a bit of a cliffhanger and he did it on purpose. The author has no plans for a sequel. Personally, I'm good with that.
Well done, Mr. Boyland. I really enjoyed this book. I have no qualms whatsoever with giving it 5 stars. It did start off a bit slow and Col. Savage was a bit too much of a villain, but after a few chapters events speeded up and eventually Col. Savage got his just deserts. Yea! And I really liked the ending. I think you could have added one more chapter just to tie up the loose ends after “golfer” got splattered. Recall elections would have been a splendid idea! I realize that this story is fictitious but our country is really in a mess. This story did an excellent job of discussing some of the problems facing us. Frankly, I am wondering which straw will eventually break the camels back and prove to be the next “Fort Sumter” event of our age. I DO believe that it is on its way. One other thing I am wondering. Why only 17 reviews of this book?
